Please pray for the success of the program, asking the Lord to use it to draw people closer to Him.
Here are some important practical points to help ensure the success of the Resource Partnership Ministry program from the outset by making sure everyone in your community is aware of the Resource Center and knows how it works.
An important key to enthusiastic participation is for someone in a senior leadership position to verbally introduce the program during the “Kick Off” week by making brief announcements highlighting the benefits of the Resource Center and how it works. In our experience, people will respond to this type of invitation. Regular reminder announcements are recommended as often as possible, especially when new materials are made available. Place an announcement in your bulletin or other communication vehicle (or use a slide in your PowerPoint presentation) during the “Kick Off” week introducing the Resource Center, its location and how it works. Use regular announcements and/or slides as often as possible, especially when new materials are made available. (click here for a bulletin/slide example)
If electronic newsletters are utilized, place an announcement during the “Kick Off” week introducing the Resource Center, its location and how it works, followed up by regular reminders of the Resource Center especially when new materials are made available.
The program success increases if there are knowledgeable volunteers present at the Resource Center location after services or other times when large groups gather to encourage individuals to take advantage of the resources, encourage donations and answer questions.
For Catholic Churches we strongly recommend:
- Offering Mass to pray for its success
- Mass Intentions, blessing the materials and display
- Invoke the whole body of the Communion of Saints
We pray that these few simple suggestions will help enhance the spiritual life of your Church. We are pleased to partner with you in becoming better stewards of God’s gifts.
