Stewardship of Leadership Groups are a weekly gathering of humble leaders, faculty, staff and administration, both men and women, where Scripture is read, contemplated, and discussed. Each week’s passage of Scripture directly ties to a monthly topic that all leaders can relate to. After the Scripture is read, spontaneous discussion is encouraged, with reflections coming from each participant’s heart – reflections that relate directly to their home, work, and community leadership experiences.
Stewardship of Leadership Groups are not Bible study groups. And the chairperson is not a teacher. During these sessions, our one Teacher is the Holy Spirit. The chairperson facilitates the group discussion, faith-sharing, and prayers, but does not control or direct the content or direction of the discussion. Real life stories, successes, struggles, and events are shared by the participants as the Holy Spirit inspires each individual.
The weekly curriculum will be provided to any group, so that no matter where you are in the World, the same progression of Scripture readings is broken open, and shared each week. Please click here for instructions on how to start your own Stewardship of Leadership Group.
Stewardship of Leadership Groups are conducted in the spirit of a wholly steward-driven life, and the understanding that everything we have is a gift from God, and that we must honor God in everything we do with the gifts He has given us. And each of us, as leaders, has a daily responsibility to reflect on these six major God-given gifts: Time, Talent, Treasure, Faith, Family and Prayer. As leaders we are called to serve each other every day in a manner that honors God above all else.
Stewardship of Leadership Groups are ecumenical, and can be open to all Christians, and those searching for Christ. These groups can, therefore, become instruments in the healing of the One Body of Christ in answer to Christ’s prayer for unity (John 17:20-23 NAB). To start a Group, please contact Hannah Woodward at 717-369-0100 x20 or email@example.com, or Tom DeAngelis at 717-615-7397 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our hope is that as the presence of the Holy Spirit grows and works throughout the lives of our faculty, staff and administration, that He will inspire participants to begin other Stewardship of Leadership Groups, and also Gospel Reflection Groups with students, parents, and others in the extended school community, especially those parishes or schools that provide for enrollment or funds for the school. And, specifically for athletic programs, the SportsLeader.com program, which can also be used at private and public schools.
Stewardship of Leadership Groups can range in size from 5 to 15. Stewardship of Leadership Group materials can be downloaded by clicking here. Stewardship of Leadership Group prayer books are mailed upon request from the website, or by calling Hannah Woodward at 717-369-0100 x20. All materials and prayer books are free of charge, and donations are gratefully accepted.
Upon completing at least 11 sessions of a 13 week course with a Stewardship of Leadership Group, a faculty or staff group leader may apply for a $250 development scholarship. To qualify for the $250 development scholarship, one sign-up sheet for the 13 week course must submitted by the school Stewardship coordinator, along with an individual log of attendance for each applicant, to Hannah Woodward (717-369-0100 x20), by mail to 48 Industrial Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, or by fax, 717-367-0103, or by email, email@example.com.
“May God bless each and every group, and group member, as we say YES to gathering together, united under Christ.”
