Gospel Reflection Groups create weekly opportunities for an individual faculty or staff member to prayerfully engage with students by reading and reflecting upon the Word of God outside of the classroom.
Faculty or staff members are also encouraged to start Gospel Reflection Groups with parents, fellow teachers, and other members of the school community, including members of their partner schools, supporting parish youth groups, and other parish ministries.
There is one teacher in a Gospel Reflection Groups, the Holy Spirit. The group leader merely facilitates the discussion. Gospel Reflection Groups profoundly impact the lives of leaders, students, and other participants, and gradually draw them more deeply into the love of Jesus by regularly experiencing His living Word in small, supportive and encouraging faith communities.
These one hour gatherings are an opportunity to read the Gospel for the coming week, reflect upon it, and share personal insights, reflections from the heart, and your life experiences that tie in with the Gospel. Gospel Reflection Groups can range in size from 2 or 3, up to 30-40.
Gospel Reflection Group materials can be downloaded from www.stewardshipmission.org. Gospel Reflection Group prayer books are mailed upon request from the website, or by contacting Hannah Woodward at 717-369-0100 x20, or email@example.com. All materials and prayer books are free of charge, and donations are gratefully accepted.
Prior to leading their first Gospel Reflection Group, a faculty or staff leader should participate in a Stewardship of Leadership Group for at least 11 of the 13 consecutive weeks.
Upon completing at least 11 sessions of a 13 week course with a Gospel Reflection Group, a faculty or staff group leader may apply for a $250 development scholarship. To qualify for the $250 development scholarship, weekly sign-up sheet for the 13 week course must be submitted by the Gospel Reflection Group leader to Hannah Woodward (717-369-0100 x20), either by mail to 48 Industrial Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, or by fax, 717-367-0103, or email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
